About us
North African, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, bringing people together through flavour, colour and sound.
Our story
The Falafel Shack is rooted in Moroccan, Israeli and Berber heritage. It was born from memories of family kitchens filled with laughter, conversation and incredible food.
We are inspired by a beloved grandmother's kitchen, where neighbours, friends and family would gather around bubbling pots and aromatic spices. This is food made with heart, tradition and soul.
After years of dreaming, planning and believing, the Falafel Shack is on the road, bringing real flavours, warm hospitality and a love of bringing people together wherever it goes.
Because the best food isn't just about what's on the plate. It's about the people gathered around it.
A delicious journey through culture and time
Falafel has its roots deep in ancient Egypt. Over hundreds of years it spread through the region, and this humble meal became a staple of Middle Eastern cooking, with each culture adding its own twist. Join us in the celebration.

Food for sharing
Our Moroccan vegetable tagine has roots deep in Berber culture, in the old customs of sharing and community that my Safta was fully immersed in. It is cooked slowly, served warm, and made for a table where everyone is welcome.
Lebanese couscous tabbouleh is loved across the Levant and is especially popular in Lebanon. It also has rich connections to North Africa and the Berber regions, where fresh herbs and grains are staples. Ours is vibrant and green, full of parsley, tomato, spring onion and the minty zestiness that wakes everything up.
Food like this has a way of bringing people back to themselves, and to each other. Pull up a seat, pass a plate, stay a while.
In nourishment we trust.
