Booking terms
Simple, fair terms for catering and tent hire.
How booking works
Choose free dates on our booking calendar and pay a deposit. Your dates are held for 30 minutes while you pay, and your booking is confirmed once the deposit is paid.
You can book up to 7 days in a row online. For longer hires, please contact us.
Paying for food
For catering, the wagon and circle dancing, you pay 50% when you book and the other half before your event.
Circle dancing is an extra that we add to one of our meals. It comes with a caller and music on CD, and needs a suitable space for your guests to dance.
The booking deposit is not refundable if you cancel, unless we can rebook your date. Anything we need to quote for is agreed with you and paid before your event.
Paying for tent hire
For tent hire, you pay the full hire price when you book, before we put the tent up.
Guest numbers
Please confirm your final guest numbers 14 days before your event. We will do our best to cater for extra guests after that, but we cannot reduce the price for fewer guests.
If you need to cancel
Tell us as soon as you can. If you cancel within 14 days of your event, the full amount is due, because we will already have bought and prepared your food.
If we need to cancel
If we ever have to cancel, we will refund everything you have paid us.
Allergies and dietary needs
Please tell us about any allergies or dietary needs when you book. Our kitchen uses sesame (in tahini and hummus), gluten (in pitta and couscous) and nuts (in some sweets), so we cannot promise any dish is free from them.
Security deposit for tent hire
On top of the hire price, you pay a refundable security deposit of £150 when you book.
When the tent and furnishings come back undamaged, we return your security deposit to your card within a few days. If there is damage, we may keep some or all of it to cover repairs, and we will tell you why.
Tent hire
We put the tent up and take it down. We need level ground, clear access for a vehicle, and permission from the landowner. Please look after the tent and furnishings while they are with you.
